Housing

London

INSTEP student accommodation in London is tailored to cater for each particular group of students, but in all cases is centrally located with easy access to public transport links to the INSTEP office and acadmic center. The efficient and reliable public transport makes it easy to access the whole of Central London for meals, nightlife, theater or any of the London airports for travel.

The housing itself consists of shared rooms (singles are rarely available) in self-catering apartments that include a shared lounge, kitchen, and bathroom facilities. Kitchens are fully fitted, bedding and linens are provided (students need only bring their own towels), and the apartments are cleaned regularly. The apartments are within town-houses or apartment blocks and are well appointed.

At the beginning of each program, during orientation, students will meet with the Housing Officer along with the Resident Director. This gives students the opportunity to ask about amenities near their flats (e.g. shops, grocery stores, restaurants, cafes) and to familiarize themselves with the neighborhood. All students are given the procedures for any housing issues or repairs and the contact information for the Housing Officer who will provide a quick response on matters of maintenance and repair and will make occasional supervisory visits.
